By using PaperProfile, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

When you create a profile, we may collect:

  • Full name and date of birth
  • Phone number — used only for account verification, never shown publicly
  • Physical attributes (height)
  • Educational and professional details
  • Family information (parents, siblings, background)
  • Religious and community information
  • Horoscope details
  • Photographs
  • Partner preferences

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Create and manage your matrimony profile
  • Enable secure profile sharing via private links you control
  • Send OTP for account verification (phone number only)
  • Improve our platform and services
  • Ensure platform security and prevent fraud

4. Profile Privacy & Sharing

🔒 Your profile is NEVER publicly searchable or browsable.

PaperProfile profiles are:

  • Not indexed by search engines (Google, Bing, etc.)
  • Not listed on any public directory or browse page
  • Only accessible via a private link — anyone with your link can view it, and only them
  • You-controlled — you decide who receives your profile link, and you can disable it at any time

Your phone number is not visible on your profile. It is used only for account verification and login.

5. Data Storage & Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure cloud infrastructure with encrypted database storage
  • Access controls limiting who can view profile data
  • Regular security reviews and updates

6. Data Retention

We retain your data only while your profile is active. You can permanently delete your data at any time. You may also:

  • Pause — temporarily hide your profile from sharing
  • Close — mark as inactive when you find a match
  • Delete — permanently and irreversibly remove all your data

7. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate PaperProfile. Each provider only processes the data required for their specific function:

  • Supabase — secure database and file storage
  • MSG91 — OTP verification via SMS (phone number only)
  • Vercel — secure website hosting and delivery
  • Razorpay — secure payment processing (we never store your card details)

None of these providers have access to your full profile data beyond what is needed to perform their service.

We only use essential cookies for login and session management. We do NOT use tracking or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request permanent deletion of your profile and all data
  • Withdraw consent and disable profile sharing at any time

10. Children's Privacy

PaperProfile is intended for adults of legal marriageable age as per applicable laws. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals below this age.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the new policy with an updated "Last updated" date.
